I really like this series because I really like Jinx and her dragon mate The only reason this book did not get a five star rating is because the author left this on a cliffhanger. Not only does Jinx have to have a wedding set up for her and her Dragon, but she is also trying to solve a murder. The people that were murdered in this book were definitely jerks, but I found it interesting how she did the investigation and came to the conclusion of who did it. She also ended up having to kill a dragon and stand there and listen well her dragon mate was judged for saving the gargoyles. Just by listening to the trial, you could tell it was pretty much of a farce I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I hope it doesn’t end on a cliffhanger.

Brief Summary of the Book

Having survived the challenges, you’d think I’d be welcomed by the dragons with open arms – but no, the Court is still full of intrigue and hostility. A few weeks ago we flew to Lucy’s rescue and made some questionable decisions and now it’s time for the consequences. The Elders are visiting Emory’s court and they’re here to decide his fate – and by extension mine. At this rate, I’m not sure we’ll survive long enough to get our big white wedding. Damn it, I was really looking forward to the cake.

Heather is a urban fantasy story writer and a mother. She was born and raised near Windsor, which made her think she had some connection to royalty. However, she doesn’t actually have any royal ties, although she did receive a letter from Queen Elizabeth II’s lady-in-waiting once. Heather went to university in Liverpool, where she started skydiving and met her future husband. When she’s not taking care of her children, she spends her time about thimking new plot of her next book and imagining stories about vampires, dragons, and strong female protagonists. She enjoying books of Brian Jacques and Anne McCaffrey. She loves to travel and had the chance to spend a month in Thailand, which she hopes to do again in the future.
