Light fantasy romance anyone? ? Betrayal and Banditry is a fast-paced fantasy with a Robin Hood twist and slowly budding romance. The book starts off at a gallop, so strap in! While the back and forth between POV’s during the same scene took some getting used to, I soon found myself falling into the rhythm and enjoying the story. The chemistry between Elspeth and Otello was definitely the highlight of the book ?? I like the slow build of their attraction as the story progresses.There are some elements I wish we had learned more about like the elves, the different types of magic, and the different types of beings we interact with. I think the world-building may have benefited from a longer book, but what we see in Betrayal and Banditry was still very interesting! There are so many things to explore later on in the series.
