This book is a modern take on Cinderella, and wonderfully done in my opinion. With out giving away to much Ashes, is about a young girl named Ashley(ironically enough) who if forced into serving her wicked step mom and step sisters and work in her stepmothers recently acquired mortuary after her fathers recent death.Harry is a handsome and troublesome bad boy musician who is being forced to attend her school after getting into some legal trouble and this is where their worlds collide. It is a classic, she doesn’t want anything to do with him, and he wants no one’s attention but hers, which she obviously won’t give to him, everyone is fighting to keep them apart troupe.
