Gia Rossi is the niece of Antonio Rossi, who terrorized Charlie, Mikhail’s wife, in Book 1. Due to this, Yuri is assigned to watch Gia and see if there is an agenda. Neither one expects just how much their lives will change. Gia is probably one of my favorite female characters. She has stayed away from the mafia life as much as possible, and has unapologetically shielded her younger brother, Dominic from it all. Her desire to stay away does cause some barriers between her and Yuri though. Nonetheless, she is someone who wears her heart on her sleeve, isn’t afraid to be her sassy or shy selves, and is willing to sacrifice for those she loves. She also is adorable in some situations and you just want to hug her.

Brief Summary of Arrogant Bratva Bastard

The two of them had me smiling throughout this whole book. Their chemistry is instant the first time Yuri sees Gia, and their “meet cute” had me giddy even if it wasn’t exactly how I’d pictured most couples would want to meet. They each begin as well knowing they shouldn’t be together given their differences but they also acknowledge how deep their feelings are for the other and will show it. I like how they have playful banter but also will have serious conversations. They don’t have any over-dramatic or drawn out conflicts and you can really see just how they are really meant to be. I will say this book is somewhat lighter than some other mafia books, but because of the characters and romance, with some mafia action sprinkled in, I think it had the perfect balance. We also see the return of beloved couples and their kids from the Federov Bratva, and I enjoyed seeing their relationships with each other and just how close each of them are. Yuri and Artyom are definitely besties for life, and the sense of family you get from seeing these characters leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy. Indeed, we get to experience a range of emotion from these characters that makes you really care for them.
