Emma’s husband Ben buys a mansion because he can’t believe what a good deal he is getting for it. That is the first red flag. Soon Emma is the victim of strange events at the house and slowly realizes her husband and the “ditzy” real estate agent may know more about the house (and each other) than they are telling her.One of my favorite narrators Emily Tremaine provided Emma with the right amount of fear and indignation to keep me on the edge of my seat. Fellow narrators Kevin R Free and Madeleine Maby are perfectly cast at adding the creepy vibes of this story.There is an element of gaslighting in this tale with how much is the house evil and how much is someone playing games with Emma. The last chapter is the author’s wink at her readers of who is gaslighting who and I would just like to say to the her, “I see what you did there lol.”
