This series of books is so well written and so engrossing that I’ve been recommending it to everyone, but then when I tell them the subject matter I see their eyes glaze over. One lady said “ that sounds like something I never want to read about.” But really, I love this series, and I’m really hoping there’s a third book. At the end of this book, it says “ continue reading”, so PLEASE tell me there’s more! Please? The author makes you fall in love with Rainey and Ivy, and want to shake their parents. And the police! How many people saw the way these kids were being raised and never called CPS for a welfare check? This book takes you through all the emotions. I literally felt my heart hurt. I neglected my family, my housework and parts of my job while I was reading these books. You can tell the author has been through some serious pain, but overcame it, because this story feels like it was pulled from the depths of her soul, and it’s told so well! Must read, can’t put down, I can’t say enough good things.
