I’ve been looking forward to Maggie and Lennon’s story since the first book in this amazing series. Whenever these two are involved on a page or in a scene the smile on my face from all the stealth like hiding that goes on had a huge smile on my face. Imagine my delight when I read the first chapter and it was one of the best stealth moves LOL! We all know that whatever happened all those years ago had quite an effect on both Lennon and Maggie. We just don’t know what it was… but when we find out…well things become so much clearer. I loved that while their were definitely hurt feelings, between them, their chemistry is still through the roof! And the witty banter between not only them but also his brothers and their significant others was phenomenal.As I read this book, I found myself smiling quite a bit. The way Ms. Siskind writes the story bringing us on a journey of some forgiveness but also a reckoning of sorts thanks to the Bower’s father who is responsible for their being in Wit Sec for the last ten years. Their lives are understandably all changed in the most dramatic ways and coming to terms with that really affected Lennon I think, more than his brothers. While this man is somewhat of a jokester, he also is mushy on the inside. I thoroughly enjoyed Maggie and Lennon reconnecting and all their bets/challenges. It definitely makes their lives interesting and fun! There’s some surprises in this book that I wasn’t expecting that also has an affect on the entire family, but in a good way I think.

Brief Summary of the Book

Lennon and Maggie have a secret history, and now that Lennon has returned home after his 11-year absence due to WITSEC, he’s ready to bring their secrets out into the open and pick up where they left off. He needs to apologize for a trespass from his last night in town, but Maggie wants to leave their history in the past and pretend nothing ever happened. Shared (almost exclusively) from Lennon’s POV, 6 Clues Your Nemesis Loves You details Lennon’s pain and grief over losing Maggie, friends, and his relationship with his father. He struggles with feelings of inadequacy and being unlovable. It’s absolutely heartbreaking at times. But Lennon is determined when it comes to Maggie. He wants her with every fiber in his soul and knows they are meant to be. This is where the story shines. Maggie is a complex woman, and since we don’t get her POV, readers are left with Lennon’s impressions of her. Luckily he sees her true worth and values her friendship, but he doesn’t know her whole story. Over time, she explains to Lennon her worries and concerns, which are deeply rooted and hard to untangle. Lennon is patient and kind, but he also hurts when she pushes him away. He doesn’t share those feelings with Maggie out of fear she’ll leave him for good.
