Brief Tutoring the Player by Rebecca Jenshak

Jordan and Daisy put a smile on my face! I loved getting back to Valley U with some of the freshman faces from the Campus Nights series. Daisy is a wallflower but wishes she could live in the world of the popular people every now and then. Her group of friends are equally introverted or shy, and without a push she isn’t willing to step outside her comfort zone. She noticed Liam early in the year in a shared class, but the thought of approaching him and putting herself out there is unthinkable so she admires him from afar- until their teacher pairs her with Liam and Jordan for lab exercises. Jordan loves hockey, his friends, and partying with his friends, so when his best friend Liam is having a difficult time adjusting after being named team captain, he is willing to do anything to help Liam get his groove back. When he realizes Daisy is into Liam and that his friend may return the interest, he alternates between wanting to see his friend happy and wanting him to regain his focus on the ice. It amuses him that Daisy seems to dismiss him so easily but after a few conversations, he realizes she is not as meek and mild as he first thought. What starts as a mission to keep Liam focused turns into a mission to get to know this girl better and push her out of her comfort zone enough to try or enjoy things she wouldn’t otherwise do.
