Brief Summary The Stolen Daughter by ReShonda Tate Billingsley

The story revolves around Jill who is the main care-taker for her mother, Connie who has been diagnosed with dementia. Being raised by a single-mother, Jill always wondered who her father was and why she never had a chance to meet any of her father’s family. When her mom’s dementia symptoms start to get worse, Connie begins to constantly talk about “Jill’s childhood” but none of the conversations makes any sense so Jill chalks it up as just another symptom. However, when a strange man shows up at Jill’s job claiming to know her things about Connie and Jill’s past come to the surface. This was a pretty quick and easy read. There were several plot twists I was not expecting that constantly kept me turning the pages. I did find some discrepancies in the storyline and the ending was very rushed.
