Brief Summary The Rescue by Sophie McKenzie

Ed’ s character is just so lovable, and I’ve been interested in him from the start so the fact that this book gave us so much insight into his character and who he really is I found very enjoyable. However, I’m not sure whether this is necessarily a bad thing but the series escalated very suddenly between the 2nd and 3rd books. That might be because Ketty’s character is so wet and annoying but I feel like it went from “oh no everything’s gone wrong but it’s ok everyone’s safe and everything’s actually ok, *que Disney-esque ending*)” to suddenly being more like “everything’s going wrong, people aren’t who they seem, there’s child trafficking, and the constant leer of death and pain” it left me wondering “wow, what happened there”. But on a whole the book is amazing, worth the money, and worth your time, highly recommended for boys and girls aged 10 to 16, and then for anyone older if you just want some thing young and quick. I can’t wait to purchase the 4th book in this series, as I just couldn’t put this down after the first page.
