Almost all of Colette’s books are an instant hit for me, and this one was no exception. It got me out of a serious bookslump! Everything works out beautifully in this book, everyone has a role to play and plays it to perfection. What I love most about it, is that although there is a prophecy, there is bad stuff happening,… we also get to see these beloved characters just spending time with each other. Even though the ending is a bit more on the simple side for a prophecy resolution (which I personally love), you can feel this is the way it was always supposed to end, and I in particular loved how there wasn’t needless suffering, everything had a goal! Lastly, the world-building – I can’t really complain too much here. It felt like it’s own time and place which is exactly as it should. It wasn’t anything crazy innovative but the settings were clear and catered well to the story. Truth is, I just wanted a little more from this. I wanted more between the MCs and I wanted more from the mythology aspect of it.

This is how you wrap a series. Every thread tied, every question answered. Nothing was left up in the air in regards to Grace, Riot, Bullet, and Wild. I loved how their stories unfolded throughout the series and this book was so fulfilling in the ways they accomplished their goals. T was a wonderful new character introduced and loved his personality on page. Mercy’s chapters have me looking forward to her story and the hopefully seeing Dice and Harbour again. But I’m also the Prophêtis, and I’m not going to sit idly while everyone and everything I love is ripped away from me. I’m going to fight. Saving Grace is the final book in the State of Grace series. It is a slow burn reverse harem (MMFMM) romance suitable for readers 18+.
