His soulmate was Rima Horton. Their relationship lasted since they were 17 year old graphic design students until his death in 2016. Alan had his share of female friends like Ruby Wax, an American who fled her overbearing parents, for a life in the United Kingdom. Alan and Ruby were lifelong friends too. He was a part of her children’s lives as well.
