The flow was good. Action, romantic with steam , a great HEA. Mirik is the main MCH . He is the last in his family line. I liked the fact that he is strong yet he has compassion. Something his race isn’t known for, especially towards humans. What he goes through after making a major decision is intriguing. His plans and quick thinking were fun to read. Lyka, is a survivor. She has to be quick with her mind and actions to stay alive. She has the qualities of a good leader. She has to be, she has twenty people counting on her. Her wit saves the day more than once. Also saving Mirik. I love the world building and the journey they went through to get to there HEA. This is a stand alone book. No cliffhanger.
