Brief Summary King of Battle and Blood by Scarlett St. Clair

It had everything I love about a good vampire, fantasy romance but with witches and ultimately what seems to be a villain origin story thrown right in. Seriously, I love the fact that the characters in this story do not choose the high road, not even once. It made for an interesting cast of wholly morally grey characters who seemingly started out as the good guys but decided revenge was much sweeter.Not to mention that I was thoroughly intrigued by the world that Scarlett started to build in this including the magic system as well as the different goddesses. Actually one of my minor negatives about this one, that I bet will be fixed in future books, is that I didn’t feel like the world was delved into as much as I wanted. I definitely wanted more of that.
