Brief Summary In a New York Minute by Kate Spencer

There were quite a few places where the “tenses” were not only wrong but jarring, i.e. talking about the publicist in Hayes company, singular (one person) but the next sentence was “they’ve” indicating more than one person. Who goes into a restaurant, orders a beer and drinks it out of a cup … should have been a glass. It was said that Franny’s apartment was a junior studio yet toward the end of the book when Hayes comes over it feels like you’re looking at a condo. And speaking of Franny’s place, WHO in the right mind would rent an apartment for 12 years on a month-to-month basis, that’s what you have a lease for! The message to Franny from her landlord should have been that her rent was going up at the end of her lease, landlords usually give you a two-month notice to renew your lease and a number of leases in NYC are two-year not one-year which was really handy! And while I did enjoy the book (it was like going back to NYC for a visit) I thought the ending was rushed, it needed an Epilogue!
