Brief Summary How to Sell a Haunted House by Grady Hendrix

The book is well written and I do enjoy GradyHendrix Novels. That being said, I’ve noticed that some reviews states “humor” is part of this story. If it’s there, I didn’t notice it ,as this book has virtually nothing funny or humorous in it, other than the title. But that’s a good thing. Based on the story I think humor would have been a misfire. One of his other novels (The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires), also has what comes across as a humorous title, leading you think it’s going to be amusing, and like this book, it’s not…it’s another” serious as a heart attack “vampire story. I think he likes these humous titles (there’s others), to catch readers attention.This is not your traditional haunted house ghost story. It’s more of a psychological Chucky Doll type story. When I determined that ghosts were not in the mix, I almost stopped reading it as I don’t like Chucky or Creepy Doll movies or stories. But, since I like Hendrix books, I thought I’d finish it….and I’m glad I did.
