May is very good at first dates, she’s actually a perpetual first-dater, no second dates however. I have to say though being on a couple of first-dates with her in this story, it truly wasn’t May that was the problem it’s the guys she’s either being set up with or she’s picking. I did love however that through one of her bad first dates we find out the meaning behind her name and her name is May NOT Maybelline. I enjoyed her first meeting and interaction with Leo and I knew that would be it for the two of them even though he was ‘warned off’ by the brothers and friends to date May. However when something happens to May, Leo is there to help and that is a huge turning point for them. I loved their friendship and hoping to see more from these two. Definitely a very small world when we find out who one of his clients Brandi really is, loved that connection. My favorite line from this book is, ‘we’re taking over the world, one slice at a time’. Perfect novella!

Brief Summary of Happily Ever Never

May is so used to going on first dates and finding her happily ever never. Will she be able to find her happily ever after? Leo works in Montgomery Ink Legacy, the tattoo shop when May walked in from her bad date, again. He shook her hand and told her she was the woman of his dreams. Was he kidding or not? He is known as a player, and Leif, one of the owners doesn’t want any one of his workers dating his friends, like May. That would create problems. But who are they to say anything about who they date? Both these characters are great, but in their own way. There’s chemistry, nervousness, confusion, determination, steam and anticipation. Their story is endearing.
