Be My Rebound is the first book in Arya Matthews new series. I cannot even say how excited I was to see Jace get the first book. You first meet him in UnSustainable where it shows his friendship with Juliette. However he was in love with her and she only saw him as her best friend. So you know, the guy has some emotions to deal with. Jace is a famous guitarist for Acid Churro Dreams who wants his band to succeed on their own merit. He meets Laurel who is the famous daughter of a legendary rockstar who has been in hiding for the past four years due to her past experiences with fame. Arya Matthews always writes characters who have flaws and make mistakes(sometimes lots of mistakes), yet this makes them so relatable. I also love a book with character growth and you get that throughout the book. Not only do Laurel and Jace help each other but they work through problems on their own and learn about themselves along the way.
