Brief Summary Advent of Dreamtech by Isaac Petrov

The futuristic world is one based very much in reality, making it all that more fearsome based on the events of the novel. I also enjoyed the concept of the futuristic world looking back to the past as not only a way to heal, but to learn from past mistakes so they do not happen again. Edda, Aline, and the other characters within the dream world were lush with descriptions and character development, which since this was the bulk of the story made perfect sense, and helped propel me to continue reading.I thought Ximena and Professor Miyagi would play a much more substantial role within the novel, as they are two fo the first characters we are introduced to, but sadly, it isn’t really until the last chapter that their presence becomes relevant. Otherwise, they act as bystanders who occasionally make a small commentary about what they are viewing within the dream world. I was further frustrated by some of the terminology used and felt it took me out of the book. Replacing the term god with “Goah” wasn’t really necessary and there was a overuse of “aws” before discussing many of the characters.
